Her name is Tushanna Prescott. Born August 14, 1985 in the beautiful city of Hollywood, FL, being raised in Dania Beach where most over her family resides, she has been a blessing to all since the day she was born. At the early ages of 3 and 4 her, mother had her in Headstart where she began to put on shows. Her classmates and her would sing and dance on stage for thier families every so often. Moving on to Collins and then to Oakridge Elementary she was involved in so many things, mostly because her mother worked at the school. She was very well behaved and had no choice but to because unlike the other children, Mommy was just around the corner and she knew mama wasn't having it. She participated in contests and sang in the school choir. She knew all the teachers and some would say got special treatment. Not to mention her Grandmother worked in the cafeteria at her first elementary school, so she got a little exrta at breakfast and lunch. And they wonder why she always eating. In the 3rd grade, she began cheerleading for an Optimist team in Hollywood. She was rather slim so she remained on the same lb all three years. Cheerleading up until her junior year in high school, she became very popular in school and in the community. During High school her mothers husband, her stepfather, not only worked at the school but he was on the coaching staff of several athletics and the head coach of the football team. Her popularity heightened once again. She was the Homecoming Sophomore Princess her second year. She had friends of all races and backgrounds. She also had her share of Motivators, people that looked up to her without even knowing anything about her. Thinking that they were pulling her down to where they were, not knowing they were pushing her higher and closer to the stars that she would turn into one day, they still continue to this day. All throughout her school years, her grandmother kept her in church and brought out this voice that no one knew was in her. In 1997 she sang in her mothers wedding at the age of 11. To conceal her nervousness, she faced her mother and stepfather to sing Monica's For You I Will. She began singing in different church events with her uncle by her side and later got booked at Weddings, parties and other formal events. Having such a large family consisting of brothers, sisters, cousins, uncles, aunts, great-aunts, grandmothers, great grandmothers, fathers, stepfathers and grandfathers, she became very spoiled. Everybody was always doing something for her and she didnt really want for anything. She could always count on someone to be there for her. Her family is well known not because of wealth, but because they know the real meaning of what family is and they have always stuck together. Even when certain people went astray, they still embraced them and supported everything they do. Being that Tushanna was the oldest girl and she had a lot of children in her family, she began babysitting and didn't even know it. They just eased it on in and once she realized what was going on, she had gotten this joy from being around kids. She wanted to see them succeed in everyway possible. Her mom has had a passion for children for sometime now. I guess the apple don't fall too far from the tree. She joined the early childhood program in high school and began working with children and was getting the knowledge she needed to do so. Getting accepted into Florida A&M where she studied Early Childhood Education, she began a new chapter in her life. With all this freedom granted to her, she began partying a lot and lost sight of her school work as well as her singing. Parties and boys was her thing now. She managed to keep up with her grades just getting by with a C average but that was okay with her. She got threats from her parents that she would have to come home but she knew she had to straighten up because that was the last thing she wanted. Throughout her college years she met a lot of people and hopefully will forget a few of those people. She had her share of heartbreaks, upsets and disappointments, but we cant forget the blessings. This Journey has helped her to regain her love for music and her new found love of writing. " If I had not gone through these things on my own, I wouldnt be able to write these songs, and help these girls across the world and help these guys stop telling lies." She has been blessed with this voice and these various talents to tell a story and hopefully help as many poeple in her power. She prays that her success gives her the oppurtunity to help all of those who helped her along the way, in every way, and to be a blessing to the children, so that they can be a blessing to someone in the future.
