When I picked up little Penny Lane from the airport, she weighed in at a whopping 1.7lbs. The first time I saw her, she had her little face pressed up against the crate--drenched. I took her out of the crate immediately and put her inside my zip-up sweatshirt. To this day, we have been inseparable--except when she is at the vet. 

The first time I took her to the vet I found out she had bi-lateral inguinal hernias, she was anemic, and had a sinus infection!!! Beyond that she had medications in her system that are consistent with a puppy mill (too many dogs in one place). I have spent thousands of dollars getting her back to health (worth every Penny! hehe!) and continue to spend money on health issues ($300 tonight!). All in all, I'm hoping her growth wasn't stunted by her issues. She is supposed to be at least 10 lbs (16 at most) but right now she's only 4.6!
