My name is Kristen. I'm 21 and attending college for Web Design. I live in Southwest Virginia where your options for fun are extremely limited. Some people go to the mall, some people spend their time outdoors on the Appalachian Trail, everyone has their own personal hobby to pass the time. Me, I chose soccer. Or soccer chose me, I've never really figured it out. I'm passionate about the sport and it's much more than a hobby to me. My friends and I have spent countless evenings down at the local fields playing with random people who love it just as much as we do. The picture I uploaded is from one of those days. My friends and I decided to go kick around in the pouring rain. It was about 34 degrees outside but would that sway us from our decision to go out in play? Absolutely not. Rain, snow, ice, hurricanes, earthquakes and tidal waves couldn't keep us away from the pitch.

I ask you for your vote to make this World Cup dream come true for my friend, Luke, and I. Soccer has gotten us through a lot and I believe the only way to thank the sport is attending the biggest game in the world and cheering as hard as we can. And believe me, we will.
